National Council of Women of Finland and Finlands Svenska Idrott together with National Broadcasting Company Yle Sport and Hanaholmen – Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre welcome you to a Seminar on leadership, diversity and women in sport on September 19th from 9.30 am. The seminar is held in the Cultural Centre but is accessed remote also. The seminar is held in English.

In the seminar we tackle questions on how to be more inclusive in sport, to welcome minorities, what are the ethical problems sport is facing now and how to change the culture of leadership and coaching into a more sustainable one.

We hear speeches from athletes such as Swedish football player Lotta Schelin and researchers like Joanna Harper (researcher in transgender in sport and adviser to the IOC). During the seminar we have panel discussions on topics such as Researchers’ panel “To learn from the facts” and Media coverage – the lack of women’s sport.

We warmly welcome all interested in sport leadership, changing the world of sport and equality questions.
