The course deals with the following topics:
• Gender based violence (GBV) as research subject
• The relationship between epistemology and method when researching GBV
• Different approaches to measuring GBV
• Different forms of data on GBV and their interpretation
• GBV and research design


The course will run for two days, September 9-10, at the Department of Social Work, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, with one morning and one afternoon session each day (10-12 and 13-15).

Anyone is welcome to attend as an auditor. To apply, send an email to: lyudmyla.khrenova@gu.se before September 1.

The number of participants is limited and precedence will be given in the following order: 1) Phd-students at the department 2) Phd-students from other departments/universities 3) auditors.
