Disagreements that matters. The legacy of Lohana Berkins
Diana Mulinari talks about Lohana Berkins, who died in 2015 and was one of the central front figures for the feminism/trans movement in Argentina.
Lohana Berkins played a central role in the making of the "gender identity law” that was approved by the national congress in 2009. The feminist collective that carries her name, carries also her visions on decent working conditions for transpersons, particularly her experience with cooperatives. The legacy of Lohana Berkins poses fundamental questions regarding the agendas, the visions and the future of feminism globally.

Diana Mulinari is professor of Gender Studies at the University of Lund, Sweden. She works in the field of critical race and postcolonial/de-colonial theory.
