What: Misogynistic and antifeminist forums thrive online. These internet communities known as the manosphere can offer comfort and a place to belong for some young men, but they can also foster hate against women and as such pose a backlash on gender equality.

Why: The Nordic Council of Ministers launched the report The Angry Internet last year which will be followed up by this international conference on the manosphere and how to promote inclusive and diverse online environments.

Who: The target audience of the conference is Nordic and international professionals working with gender equality and youth, in particular boys and young men.

Outcome: The conference aims at giving professionals knowledge and relevant tools in order to prevent social exclusion, marginalization and radicalization of boys and young men in online communities.
