New study of young people, vulnerabilities and prostitution/sex for compensation in the Nordic region
Date and Time: February 14th, 14:00-15:30 PM
Place: Unioninkatu 35, Aud 116, Helsinki University
Young people who have sex for compensation are a vulnerable, particularly preyed-on group, but in the Nordic countries few specifically targeted social initiatives are offered to this group. This is shown in a new study which, for the first time, maps the knowledge base about young people who have experience of prostitution/sex for compensation in the Nordic region.

You are warmly welcome to attend a seminar presenting the findings of the study with a particular focus on the Finnish part of the report.

The findings of the study will be presented by Charlotta Holmström, associate professor in social work at Malmö University and the principal researcher for the study, along with Minna Seikkula who is responsible for the Finnish part of the report. The seminar will be held in English.

Please confirm your participation no later than February 7th to elin.engstrom@genus.gu.se

This seminar has been organised in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers, which also financed the study.
