PhdCourse: Researching gender based violence: data and design, 2,5 higher education credits
We are happy to once again be able to present this course, led by Marianne Hester, Professor at Bristol University and Affiliated Professor at The Department of Social Work, University of Gothenburg.
The course deals with the following topics:
Gender based violence (GBV) as research subject
The relationship between epistemology and method when researching GBV
Different approaches to measuring GBV
Different forms of data on GBV and their interpretation
GBV and research design
The course will run for two days, October 1-2, at the Department of Social Work, University of Gothenburg, with one morning and one afternoon session each day (9-12 and 13-16).
Anyone is welcome to attend as an auditor. To apply, send an email to: lyudmyla.khrenova@gu.se before September 7.
The number of participants is limited and precedence will be given in the following order: 1) Phd-students at the department 2) Phd-students from other departments/universities 3) auditors.
