Democratic Constitutional Design: The Future of Public Engagement
Edda Research center hosts the conference "Democratic Constitutional Design: The Future of Public Engagement" at the University of Iceland 27-29 September.
The aim of the conference is to create a venue for scholarly and political discussion of the most recent developments in democratic theory as regards public consultation and engagement and democratic participation in general. The conference focuses on current plans of the Icelandic government to complete a revision of the Icelandic constitution in a process based on wide public consultation and engagement.

The conference is cohosted by the Office of the Prime Minister of Iceland and The Icelandic Constitutional Society. It is open to the public. Registration form and information on keynote speakers can be found here:
