Activists and artists as well as students and researchers based in the Nordic regions, temporarily or long-term, are invited to present their work, to share their results as well as their approaches to trans activism and Transgender Studies. Possible suggestions could address trans activism, resistance practices, methodologies, media representation, historical and popcultural archives, art, ecology, social justice movements, prison industrial system, medico-legal issues, elderly care, ally activism, as well as affective and ontological approaches to trans research.

Following previous Nordic Transgender Studies network conferences, we wish to create a collective space for reflection, connection, community building and lively discussion across disciplinary boundaries as well as reaching outside the academia. The conference will provide space both for presentations and informal exchange, as well as a designated time for a discussion on how to further develop the network which is particularly devoted to academic research and academic activism, and for future planning of network activities, including the next conference. We will start off the conference with a relaxed get-together on the evening of the 24th, before the actual keynote and workshops on the 25th and 26th.
