Call for papers - Feminist Readings of Film & Television
Feminists have been reading film/television and developing theories of the visual for decades. This issue of Outskirts invites articles from 5000-7000 words that develop feminist readings of film or television or film theory and contemporary televisual media.
Topics might include but are not limited to:
Feminist readings of specific film/television series
Gender and sexuality in film/television
The Bechdel test and quantifying trends
New forms of the gaze
Representational regimes
Feminists producing film/television
Representing feminism on film/television
Challenging gender regimes on film/television
Feminist comedy
